Saturday Savers Club Progress week 14 - Nice posting and trading gains

Its week 14 (30/03/24) of my savings focus for 2024 with the Saturday Savers Club which is a great Hive community initiative run by @shanibeer writing as @sally-saver on the @eddie-earner account.

My goals for this year are:

• Primary goal - to increase my HP by 7500, to 18500 HP,
• Secondary goal - to increase my HP delegation to @eds-vote by 1000 HP, to 3000 HP (because I want to accumulate more of the EDS token).

I will also be continuing to increase my holding of investment tokens, and delegating HP to a number of good community curation accounts as well.

This weeks pic - When we went for a walk in our local park this week one of the swans was on their nest ! So I'm guessing the eggs are laid - I thought it was a little early for that, but the swans will know better than me !

Weekly Investment Focus

• My main activity was around HBD:HIVE trading again. I had 27 trades go through which was quite nice and is helping to build up my trading fund further.
• I decided to try Inleo Premium. I've been wanting to try it for a while now, and will see if it brings in additional upvotes and the like,
• I bought the initial land pass for the Big Dog Bone game on Hive. I'm still working on how to play the game properly but I thought I'd give it a go.

Weekly commentary

• HP Gain: I gained +94 HP this week which is much better than I've been doing lately. I've been trying to post more frequently this week, and now that I have Inleo Premium thats also an incentive to post more, so hopefully I'll have better gains in the coming weeks,
• HP Passive: 17.99 of my HP gain this week came from curation (+11.36 HP, not really passive) and HP APR (+6.63 HP - based on the current HP APR of 2.85%). This is my highest to date. Noting that my main aim each week is to increase HP, then this should hopefully always be on an uptrend generally, although it can vary a little from week to week,
• HP goal: My HP total now stands at 12096 HP and I need a further 6404 HP to hit my primary goal of 18500 HP. At 38 weeks to go, that requires 166 per week (an increase of 2 HP). This is proving pretty tough to hit and I'm not going to manage it from posting alone, so I'll need to have a good run at HBD:HIVE trading if I'm going to hit it,
• HP delegation to @eds-vote: My HP delegation to @eds-vote increased by +6 HP to 2133 HP. I need to delegate another 867 to hit my secondary target to raise my total delegation to 3000 HP. That will require an average of 22 HP delegated per week to hit it, which I should achieve,
• HP delegation to curation accounts: I delegated another +5HP to @curangel to bring that total to 214. The aim to to take that to 250 HP - only 36 to go now - its getting there bit-by-bit !,
• HP delegation to curation accounts: The main aim of these community delegations is to support these great curation accounts that have helped me along the way to where I am now, but I'm also getting nice daily drips of HIVE as a result from @ocdb, @qurator and @curangel as they pass on their curation income to delegators, which is a nice little bonus !
  I tend to reinvest those HIVE drips from the curation accounts back into my HBD:HIVE trading fund, giving a nice little synergy to growing another income stream,
• EDS: I gained +2.19 EDS. My 2133 HP delegation to @eds-vote brought in 1.68 EDS this week. The rest of the gain seen came from the mining lottery for holding EDSMMs (I have 146 of those) and the weekly drip from holding 7 EDSD (which was 0.03 EDS this week). I selected increasing my delegation to @eds-vote as my secondary goal as I'm really keen to keep accumulating EDS, and focusing on the HP delegation works well with my primary goal of increasing my HP total,
• HBD:HIVE Trading: I had another good week with 27 trades going through for a gain on around 50 HIVE. This was a good result and each trade increases my trading fund for compounding gains.

Plan for the coming week

• Regular Posting: Regular posting (daily) is the key to HP growth, but I've been struggling with time to do that of late. I'm trying to get back into the swing of regular posting and I'm hoping that having Inleo Premium will give me the incentive I need to do that,
• **Posting via Inleo: ** I'm continuing to post mostly using Inleo due to the extra LEO this will generate. Its making a difference, I can see that, and now that I have Premium, I'm hoping it gives a further little boost. I gain around an average of 31 LEO per week from various methods which is good. Lets see if Premium boosts it a bit further,
• Curation: To be active in HIVE Blog curation to help with HIVE curation rewards. My curation is mostly manual and I mostly try to keep my voting mana between 80 to 90%,
• Undelegated HP: To continue to increase undelegated HP in order to improve HIVE curation rewards,
• HBD:HIVE trading: To continue with HBD:HIVE trading. I'm going to keep adding more funds to my trading capital from post payouts over the coming weeks. HBD:HIVE trading has been working well for me, so I may as well take advantage of that and try to increase the profits on my trades - increasing my trading capital will help to make that happen,
• HP delegation to @eds-vote: This weeks delegation of 10% of my weekly HP income to @eds-vote will add a further 9 HP,
• HP delegation to curation accounts: This weeks delegation of 10% of my weekly HP income to community curation accounts will add a further 9 HP to my @curangel delegation.

Summary

I have to say I'm pretty happy with this week. A 94HP gain along with a 50 HIVE gain from trading is pretty nice. I was also excited to try Inleo Premium and progress things with Big Dog Bone.

My Tribe Token Investment Project

My experiment with 8 different tribe tokens on my alt account @hoosieboy is moving along nicely. The experiment is designed to grow semi-passively via staking, curation, posting and rebalancing - in a way where the methods should work together and add constructively. Everything gets re-invested back into curation accounts for the same 8 tribe tokens, so it also provides a positive boost to those tribes.

I undertook another rebalance this week. The overall pot value took a hit due to a number of tribe tokens hitting the skids, with projects going down and the like. However the overall number of tokens continues to increase and its still profitable overall. Its a shame to see quite a few layer-2 projects in trouble over the last couple of months, they are part of the life blood on Hive, and hopefully some of them will get back on track.
