Saturday Savers Club Progress week 18 - a nice gain of 136 HP !

Its week 18 (04/05/24) of my savings focus for 2024 with the Saturday Savers Club which is a great Hive community initiative run by @shanibeer writing as @sally-saver on the @eddie-earner account.

My goals for this year are:

• Primary goal - to increase my HP by 7500, to 18500 HP,
• Secondary goal - to increase my HP delegation to @eds-vote by 1000 HP, to 3000 HP (because I want to accumulate more of the EDS token).

I will also be continuing to increase my holding of investment tokens, and delegating HP to a number of good community curation accounts as well.

This weeks pic - This is a pic of the vending machine contents at my work. I had to take a picture of it for my daughter this week. She had texted me just after she finished school one day asking if I could take a treat home for her and she wanted to know what they had !!! She picked cheese & onion crisps (potatoe chips) !

Weekly Investment Focus

• Happy Star Wars day - May the 4th be with you !!!!
• I renewed my Inleo Premium this morning. I've been posting more actively of late and I have to say the extra up-votes from @leo.voter have more than paid the cost of the 10 HBD over the month, so it was a no-brainer to renew it when it came up for renewal this morning,
• I have a small amount of spare swap.hive this week and will be putting it into the PWR:Swap.HIVE pool in order to generate more PWR (which it pays out daily). PWR is an income token which should start making payouts later in 2024. So I've been trying to accumulate more of it, and the pool is a good option for me when I've got spare bits of swap.hive,
• I've only had 10 HIVE:HBD trades go through this week mostly because the price has been so low that it was out of my trading range (currently at $0.3184 with a range from $0.2939 to $0.3393 over the week). I always suffer from this when the price is on the low end, as such, I've been adding trading pots this week that deal with this lower price range, so that my trading activity can continue. The values are pretty small on these pots, but as usual, they will increase over time (each trade makes my trading fund that bit bigger).

Weekly commentary

• HP Gain: I gained +136 HP this week which is quite a bit higher than usual for me of late, so I'm very happy with it. I'd been posting quite solidly last week and a few of those posts had nice payouts which is the main reason behind this,
• HP Passive: 17.99 of my HP gain this week came from curation (+10.89 HP, not really passive) and HP APR (+7.10 HP - based on the current HP APR of 2.96%) - 17.99 is my second highest to date (I've had this twice now) and it will be nice to break 18 HP per week mark at some point soon,
• HP goal: My HP total now stands at 12466 HP and I need a further 6034 HP to hit my primary goal of 18500 HP. At 34 weeks to go, that requires 175 per week (an increase of 1HP). The weekly target is getting a bit silly now - although its not taking account of my weekly HBD:HIVE trading activity which has gone fairly well these last months, so that could help towards the end of the year if I release HIVE from my trading fund,
• HP delegation to @eds-vote: My HP delegation to @eds-vote increased by +11 HP to 2168 HP. I need to delegate another 832 to hit my secondary target to raise my total delegation to 3000 HP. That will require an average of 24 HP delegated per week to hit it, which I should achieve (even if it means dumping more than planned in to hit the goal),
• HP delegation to curation accounts: I delegated another +10HP to @curangel to bring that total to 246. The aim to to take that to 250 HP - so only have 4 to go which will be achieved this week. I'll then move onto taking my HP delegation to @qurator up to 250 HP (its currently sitting at 101 HP),
• HP delegation to curation accounts: The main aim of these community delegations is to support these great curation accounts that have helped me along the way to where I am now, but I'm also getting nice daily drips of HIVE as a result from @ocdb, @qurator and @curangel as they pass on their curation income to delegators, which is a nice little bonus !
  I tend to reinvest those HIVE drips from the curation accounts back into my HBD:HIVE trading fund, giving a nice little synergy to growing another income stream,
• LEO (which includes LP): I've decided to start taking a more active interest in my LEO balance of late. I've always been in growth mode as far as LEO is concerned, but I'm even more bullish about it noting that the price is bucking the layer-2 trend. I havent set a goal for it yet, but will be monitoring how its going, and hence I've added it back in to my weekly update. As can be seen, my weekly gain was 41.15 LEO which is about 11 HIVE worth, which is quite nice. That comes from my Inelo posting and curation activity, my HP delegation to @leo-voter and also my LP delegation to @india-leo.
• HP delegation to @leo-voter: I'm also going to take more of an interest in my HP delegation to @leo-voter this year. I wont be able to add much to it in the short term, but its currently sitting at +1521 and is normally growing by one HP each week due to HP APR. I'll probably see if I can increase my delegation further later in the year (after my curation account and @eds-vote delegation targets have been completed),
• EDS: I gained +3.01 EDS which is better than normal, mostly due to getting an EDS award from @shanibeer in last weeks #SSC post (many thanks) !. My 2168 HP delegation to @eds-vote brought in 1.61 EDS this week. The rest of the gain (minus the 1 EDS from #SSC) seen came from the mining lottery for holding EDSMMs (I have 146 of those) and the weekly drip from holding 7 EDSD (which was 0.04 EDS this week). I selected increasing my delegation to @eds-vote as my secondary goal as I'm really keen to keep accumulating EDS, and focusing on the HP delegation works well with my primary goal of increasing my HP total,
• HBD:HIVE Trading: As mentioned above the price of HIVE dropped below my active trading range, as such I would say that I was actually lucky to have had as many as 10 trades this week. However, my new low price range trading pots should help to make sure I continue to trade at these lower prices. The weekly gain was pretty low at only 4 HIVE - but considering I normally cant trade at these prices, I'm happy with 4 (it all counts and helps to increase my trading pot sizes so that any further gains will be that bit bigger).

Plan for the coming week

• Regular Posting: Regular posting (daily) is the key to HP growth. I've done better on this front these last few weeks (having Inleo Premium has given me the incentive I needed), so I'll continue to do what I can,
• **Posting via Inleo: ** I'm continuing to post mostly using Inleo due to the extra LEO this will generate. Its making a difference, as is having Premium,
• Curation: To be active in HIVE Blog curation to help with HIVE curation rewards. My curation is mostly manual and I mostly try to keep my voting mana between 80 to 90%,
• Undelegated HP: To continue to increase undelegated HP in order to improve HIVE curation rewards,
• HBD:HIVE trading: To continue with HBD:HIVE trading. I'm going to keep adding more funds to my trading capital from post payouts over the coming weeks. HBD:HIVE trading has been working well for me, so I may as well take advantage of that and try to increase the profits on my trades - increasing my trading capital will help to make that happen,
• HP delegation to @eds-vote: This weeks delegation of 10% of my weekly HP income to @eds-vote will add a further 14 HP,
• HP delegation to curation accounts: This weeks delegation of 10% of my weekly HP income to community curation accounts will add a further 4 HP to my @curangel delegation to complete it, and then 10HP to my @qurator delegation.

Summary

It was a really good week - I can never complain when my HP gain is over 100 HP, and a gain of over 40 LEO in the week was also really nice !

My Tribe Token Investment Project

My experiment with 8 different tribe tokens on my alt account @hoosieboy is moving along. The experiment is designed to grow semi-passively via staking, curation, posting and rebalancing - in a way where the methods should work together and add constructively. Everything gets re-invested back into curation accounts for the same 8 tribe tokens, so it also provides a positive boost to those tribes.

I'm due another rebalance. The last rebalance resulted in a surprise gain, although layer-2 tokens in general have been trending downwards of late, with some going to the wall, so we will have to see how it goes over the coming weeks. I may have to adjust some of the tokens in the fund in order to move with the changes that have occurred of late.
