Saturday Savers Club Progress week 51 - Powered up 505 HP !

Its week 51 (23/12/23) of my savings focus for 2023 with the Saturday Savers Club which I think is a great Hive community initiative run by @shanibeer writing as @sally-saver on the @eddie-earner account.

My focus for the rest of the year is:

• My annual HP target of 10K HP - achieved !!!
• Growing my holding of investment tokens,
• Delegating HP to a number of good community curation accounts.

This weeks pic - It was the winter solstice yesterday - the shortest day (least daylight) here in the northern hemisphere. I took this pic just as the sun was setting in the afternoon. We had some nice pink in the clouds and the moon was also making an early appearance !

Weekly commentary

• I gained +505 HP. My income from posts was only around 53 HP, but I took some more HP out of my HIVE/HBD trading fund. I had a number of preset trades that were closer to the $0.50 HIVE price mark, which I dont think is going to happen anytime soon, plus we've had no price spikes of late (which is where those trades usually helped) - so I cancelled them and just powered up the HP. I may as well be getting the HIVE APR and curation benefit from it,
• My HP total is now 10,804 HP - I'll be close to hitting 11K by the end of the year, which is pretty darn cool !,
• I delegated another +18 HP to @ocdb to bring that total to 159 HP. The next target is 250 HP, which aint that far away now. Its also nice to see the daily drips coming in from some of those curation accounts. They are small beer at the moment, but over the course of a week they help out,
• I gained +2.34 EDS. My 2018 HP delegation to @eds-vote brought in +2.04 EDS this week and the rest was from the mining lottery for holding EDSMMs (I have 120 of those). I wont hit my year end target of 100, but I'll get close (unless I buy a few more from the market),
• I gained +2.2 DAB this week, which is a little above average in terms of weekly gains, which is nice,
• I gained +2 DBOND taking my total to 717. Its also nice to see that steadily growing each week,
• I gained +1.684 DRIP this week, which was purely from passive gains from just holding and staking what I have. I'm keen to hit 100 by year end (now at 97.207) and may just have to buy a little more from the market to make sure that happens,
• I only had 4 HBD:HIVE trades go through for a total profit of around 2-3 HIVE this week. Fairly slim pickings, but it was still nice to get a few trades and make a small profit for not a lot of work.

Plan for the coming week

• To continue to make sure I post daily/regularly to ensure daily HBD and HIVE author rewards,
• To be active in HIVE Blog curation to help with HIVE curation rewards,
• To continue to increase undelegated HIVE in order to improve HIVE curation rewards,
• To continue with HBD:HIVE trading. I'll also be adding some additional funds (in small amounts) to my trading capital each week, in the active trading range, which will help grow the gains over the long term (albeit slowly),
• This weeks delegation of 15% of my weekly HP income (76 HP) will be going to @ocdb again, as part of my project to support community curation accounts via HP delegation,
• I have one week left to buy some more tokens from the market to put towards this years goals. I'll probably buy DRIP, and then EDS if I have any spare SWAP.HIVE.

In summary, it was another good week. It made sense to power up the extra HIVE I had in my HBD:HIVE trading fund. Atleast now it will earn something, rather than just sitting and waiting for the price to magically rise all of a sudden. I didnt power up all of my trading fund - I still have other trades sitting waiting to happen at more realistic prices - so thats all fine. And if the price does go back up, I can easily just replicate those other higher price trades with the payouts I get from posts.

It'll soon be time to set my targets for 2024. As usual, HP will be the primary target, and I'm giving thought to what else will be in there. I'll continue supporting the community curation accounts, and adding investment tokens.

My Tribe Token Investment Project

My experiment with 8 different tribe tokens on my alt account @hoosieboy is moving along nicely. The experiment is designed to grow semi-passively via staking, curation, posting and rebalancing - in a way where the methods should work together and add constructively. Everything gets re-invested back into curation accounts for the same 8 tribe tokens, so it also provides a positive boost to those tribes.

I'll undertake my next rebalance later today or tomorrow morning. The project is working nicely, although values are still low at the moment, however they should build up over time. Its great to see the various methods of curation, posting, staking and rebalancing all working in tandem. You can check out my latest rebalance post on my @hoosieboy alt account here.
