Saturday Savers Club Week 30 - a gain of 155 HP

Its week 30 (28/07/24) of my savings focus for 2024 with the Saturday Savers Club.

My goals for this year are:

• Primary goal - to increase my HP by 7500, to 18500 HP,

• Secondary goal - to increase my HP delegation to @eds-vote by 1000 HP, to 3000 HP.

  

This weeks pic - Its been a lovely week here in Edinburgh, with lots of sunny weather. We went for a walk in Saughton Park on wednesday and saw these lovely thistle type flowers, which looked great against the blue sky.

Weekly Investment Focus

• I'm continuing to work on a flip between the price of HBD and HIVE for a decent gain in the future. I'm currently placing sell orders for all of the HBD payouts I get from posting at $0.21. When those go through I'm then placing buy back orders to buy back into HBD at $0.35. At the current price of HIVE this would represent an increase of around 66%. I'm hoping these prices are realistic , although I think it will take quite a number of months for the trades to go through. It needs a drop below $0.21 in the HIVE price first (which should happen in the coming weeks) and then a longer term increase in the price of HIVE to $0.35 - this is the part that could take months - but I can wait,
• I'm continuing to focus on a number of play-2-earn games on the WAX blockchain - particularly Alien Worlds. The others are Prospectors, Brigade, Wombat DM, Realm and Planetary Defense. I'm also taking the time to stake some of the earnings and add to liquidity pools, so am beginning to build up another crypto income stream on the wax blockchain. This is coming along nicely - I'm enjoying it, but it will take a while to get to a decent level.

Weekly commentary

• HP Gain: I gained +155 HP this week which is great. This comes from posting, HP APR, curation, and HP delegation.
• HP goal: I need a further 3782 HP to hit my primary goal of 18500 HP. At 22 weeks to go, that requires 169 per week. It wil be tough for me to hit it - but I'll keep trying,
• HP delegation to @eds-vote: I need to delegate another 323 HP to hit my secondary target to raise my total delegation to 3000 HP. This is on track and I should be fine to hit it,
• EDS: I gained +3.21 EDS. My EDS gains come from my HP delegation to @eds-vote and from the mining lottery for holding EDSMMs,
• HBD:HIVE Trading: I didnt have any trades go through again this week due to the low price of HIVE being outside of my active trading range. As said above, I'm currently working on a larger trading strategy to sell HBD at $0.21 and then buy back in at $0.35. It will probably take some time to go through, which is fine.

Summary

I was particularly happy with a gain of 155 HP this week. The current low price of HIVE provides a great opportunity to accumulate and is really helping with post payouts !

I'm still really enjoying exploring the WAX blockchain play-2-earn games and pools, particularly Alien Worlds. I'm going to keep pushing on these for the coming weeks to see how that comes along as an income stream.
