It's a kind of game that falls under the Strategy games category, TCG stands for Trading Card Game, which is a type of game where players collect and trade cards to build their own unique decks. These cards usually represent different characters, creatures, or abilities that players can use to battle against each other.
Splinterland is a classic TCG game like the others but what sets splinterland apart is that cards are Blockchain backed, cards are owned as NFT which can be traded for money and bought between players in the game. We've got two main types of cards in the game: summoner cards and monster cards.

Summoners

Each battle has a specific mana cap, which determines the amount of mana you can spend per battle. And here's the cool part: each monster has three types of attacks they can dish out: melee attack, ranged attack, and magic attack. The effectiveness of each attack depends on the monster it's aimed at.

Getting started

First, set up your Hive account. Once that's done, head over to Splinterlands and create your account. It's as easy as that! After registration you would land on the home page

• Select play now
• select battle

After which to battle you simply

• Click on battle
• click on create team(note your monsters and summoners are limited to the number of mana shown here, the amount of mana will determine the total amount of monsters you can select.
• Select Summoners and click on battle as shown in the arrow and then select monsters
• then click on rumble and see your cards come to life and battle each other

Share Your Early Experience

I Started my splinter land journey since 2021 and it's been fun since then, the game has evolved a lot and every couple of months some good and notable changes gets integrated into the game to make it more balanced and good for everyone to play the most recent being the rebellion phase we entered.
The most outstanding difficulty one can have at the beginning of the game is understanding how the cards complement each other, and how to arrange your deck in such a way that favors you against the opponents.
Understanding your cards give you an upper hand against your opponent and helps you strategize properly in each game overcoming this barrier would mean you have an ultimate upper hand over anybody you are playing.
Secondly the most notable challenge you will face in Splinter land are people that dohave spent a long time in the game thereby owning exclusive cards that you as a newcomer will most likely not get except you buy for example cards with blood loss (e.g Quora Towershead)are very rare and those cards give their owners if strategically used properly an upper hand
