My Actifit Report Card: August 8 2024

Hey Actifitters,

The weather yesterday wasn't bad again, with plenty of sun. It was a bit hot but not as bad as last week. And if there's somebody that knows how to enjoy it, it's Le Chat! She had naps after naps in the doggy bed on the deck. Nothing could wake her up!

Even when we took breaks in the yard, she just quickly looked at us and went back to sleep.

And even more surprising, when Kaia and I went behind the front yard to start our daily walk, she didn't follow us.

So we quickly headed to the forest while we still had plenty of daylight.

Kaia was so fast to run after critters, she was just a blur...

But she always comes back and follows us on the trails, unless she takes the lead.

Not many puddles left and small ones only. Even Kaia said "not going in, it's just mud"

It was a good walk, but once again the mosquitoes made it kind of miserable, so we rushed out and back to the street.

Good timing for the sunset.

Back at home, we were greeted by an angry deer in our yard. Instead of fleeing, she actually walked in our direction, and repeatedly hissed at us very loud! Kaia wanted to respond of course but I didn't let her. We went into the backyard, that deer kept hissing at us, but stayed behind the fence. Strange behavior...

It was getting late, but I had just enough time for a quick run. Just 5k this time. I already finished after it got dark, so it couldn't have been much longer anyways. A fairly active day in the end, hopefully it gets me a medal in the #Macfit Olympics.
