My Actifit Report Card: September 8 2024

Hey Actifitters,

Once again, nothing much out of the ordinary for Sunday. Le Chat found a good spot in the overgrown weeds to rest.

But she just couldn't resist when Kaia and I went behind the front yard. She joined in the exploration.

Exploring can be a dangerous activity for the furry ones. Kaia's coat was full of these very sticky things, whatever they are called. I took me quite some time to remove most of them.

Le Chat stayed on the lookout, just in case anything happened while we worked on these things.

Of course, we went to the forest next.

I wanted to hunt mushrooms again, so we went off-trail for a while. By the way, I really need to put together a Fungi post with the hundreds of photos I keep accumulating.

Kaia led us to the teepees deep inside the forest. We haven't visited them as often recently, simply because it required going through mosquito territory.

One of the biggest one is down. Not sure if it's due to one of the many storms we had, or bored kids who destroyed it.

Luckily all the other ones still stand.

Even though it wasn't too hot, it was nice to stay in the shade under all that green.

Because the sun was really bright!

Not a problem for Le Chat. When we got back home, she was sound asleep in the sun!

Nothing major during the rest of the afternoon, except some of the yard work I've been skipping for several days already. And later, I decided to try and catch the sunset again. It was a bit late but the colors and the clouds looked great.

And like I probably already said, that time just around dusk is perfect to meet many of the neighborhood cats. They were indeed everywhere. Saw these three solid black kittens for the first time. I could only get one in photo though. And that last cat just turned its back on us, ignoring us!

It's also a good time to see deer roaming around the yards. We saw plenty of them, including this large family, with at least three young fawns.

Well, it's usual for me, but most of the tasks that I was supposed to do weren't done. Of course, with sun and mild temperature, that was really no surprise. At least, a bit of yard work was done, and the final step count wasn't bad at all. Onto the new week now!
