My Actifit Report Card: February 13 2025

Hey Actifitters,

Like I mentioned in my previous post, we got decent snow this time, so of course a priority for yesterday was to try and enjoy it, hopefully with daylight. Kaia for sure really couldn't hide her excitement!

As usual, we started at the small forest behind the front yard, just to check out how much snow there really was, and warm up. It's confirmed, 5 to 6 inches of new snow everywhere! Not super impressive but better than most the latest snowfalls we had.

Of course, we quickly wanted to move to a bigger snowy playground, and went to the forest.

We started with a little off-trail walking. Walking in fresh new untracked snow, it's pretty much the best!

Kaia tried to stay patient for a while but she just couldn't resist any longer, she had to run like a crazy dog!

After she got that out of her system, she brought us back on the trail, so we could explore the rest of the forest.

Until it started to get dark.

By the time Kaia started us on our way back out of the forest, it was fully dark. That's actually the best timing, we start our walk in daylight and finish it in nighttime, best of both worlds!

The sky also started to clear up a bit, that dark blue color was beautiful and surprising so late.

Back home, it was pretty clear Le Chat didn't share our enthusiasm for the snow. Surprisingly she does spend quite some time outside though, but a good nap indoors, that's still her favorite right now!

More snow on the forecast for the week end, possibly up to 10 more inches, yay!!! I hope they're also getting at least that much up North Michigan where we're planning a ski/snowboard getaway in a couple weeks.
