My Actifit Report Card: April 22 2025

Hey Actifitters,

We had a beautiful sunny day yesterday, albeit already a bit too warm for my taste. Of course, we spent time outdoors. Espressos on the deck were a must, while Kaia chased a few small critters and tennis balls. Surprisingly Le Chat decided it was more of a lazy indoor kind of day. Her loss!

So we left her behind and went for our long walk, starting behind the front yard of course.

Like I already said, it's getting greener out there, and there's always plenty of entertainment opportunities for Kaia.

While walking towards the bigger forest, we saw a bunch of squirrels having a tea party or something in a front yard.

But we didn't bother them and just continued to the forest.

Again, so much better with the sun!

I wanted to go for a run later in the afternoon, so I had planned only a short walk on the forest trails.

But it seems Kaia had other ideas and I followed her all the way to the teepees (by the way, when I say all the way, it is not that far, it's a small neighborhood forest!)

And before heading back home, with the start of the golden light, Kaia had to suffer through another photo session. She's a great model!

Even with this longer walk than I had planned, I still had enough time for a run, a little over 4 miles at a decent pace. It was tough but not as bad as the 10k race a couple weeks ago. I didn't train since then though, so I guess it was just a better running day.
Final step count above 30k was pretty good but I think it wasn't sufficient for my #Poliac match, which probably means I won't be able to win it. A spot on the podium is still much better than I thought possible when the season started.
