Secret battle mage challenge: Rise of the commons
Summoners are your ready for another week secret battle challenge let's ride the wave of the arena with another interesting ruleset this week common and rare monsters will take charge of the battle arena legendary monster will not find place in this battle it will be a battle of the common and rare are you ready for some epic arena battle.
All abilities monsters can be used in this ruleset as long they fall under common and rare monsters class, interesting to know common and rare monsters are as much formidable as other monsters in the battle their role in any battle are very significant their usefulness can't be overrated in any battle ground.
Little tips for this ruleset
Only common and rare monsters are used get on with good tanks to increase your battle winning chance.
Add good attackers magic and melee attacking monster can easily eliminate an opponent tank.
Shield and healing monsters will do in supporting your tanks
Add counter measures like special abilities monsters
Finally summoners are unaffected by this ruleset.
In this battle ruleset i came up with life element monster while my opponent came up with death element I couldn't stand my opponent battle heat I was defeated at last in this battle.
Battle ruleset
Common and rare monsters will only be used this ruleset is pretty straight forward as it only limits splinterlanders to use only Common and rare monsters in the battle what only differs now is how one chooses to come up with their battle lineup strategy this will determine if you're winning or not.
Battle detail
For this battle ruleset 99 cost mana cap was given for both players to come up with their lineup monsters this gives each user ample opportunity to select their best lineup monsters as their is enough mana to cover up for monsters selection my opponent went for death element monsters lineup while I did use life element monsters who will emerge victorious at the end of the battle.

Battle lineup
DRYBONE BARBARIAN My first lineup tank is a melee attacking monster with enrage ability it attack increases by 50% anytime it gets attacked by another lineup monster this is pretty decent for a tank.
ANACHORN BOLTER this monster reduce an opponent range monster by 1 unit this gives me some additional advantage over my opponent range attacking monster.
PELACOR ARBALEST A range attacking monster with double strike this monster attacks an opponent lineup twice on each attack it cause high damage to an opponent tank it low health is one of its limitations.
WAR PEGASUS Another range attacker with ability to evade an opponent range monster by 25% it can also destroy am opponent shield on a single attack give my tank good chance to strike.
MERIPUT MAGICIAN My next lineup monster is a magic healing monster it gives my tank additional health and ad well attacks my opponent tank.
IMPERIAL KNIGHT My last lineup monster has a good shielding and health I used this as my last line because of sneak attacking monster from my opponent side.
Battle strategy
My lineup looks very formidable and real ready to take out any opponent, this is what makes splinterland fun your opponent are well prepared as you are and sometimes even much prepared than you are.
My tank being an enrage monsters was suppose to take out any tank with maximum of one or two strike making it an added advantage in eliminating an opponent my second and third lineup monsters will be assisting my tank as well as third and fourth so basically I concentrated on getting rid of my opponent tanks quickly and fast.
Did my strategy worked? My opponent came up with some good tactics which reduced my strategy their taunt monster and tank looks good with additional opportunity monster which help in getting rid of my double strike monster.
Battle arena
Battle arena lasted seven rounds my opponent are a bit up their strategy this time their opportunity monster did most of the elimination the battle was decided when my double strike and tank monster got eliminated from the battle round.
Round 1 First round my double strike monster got eliminated while my opponent tank was eliminate as well from the battle each opponent losing a monster from the battle at first round was a fair play.
Round 2 My opponent opportunity monster started their their work getting rid of my low health stats monster.
Round 3 Round three its still four against four but my opponent have better advantage of winning this battle.
Round 4 I'm left with a range tank a magic monsters and my backline monster which have not make any move in the battle sure it a pure win for my opponent.
Round 7 Last round only one monster left on my side while my opponent still three monsters there is no way I'm winning this battle.
