Splinterland's: Buying and accumulating SPS is one of my good decisions.

After the launch of the SPS (aka Splintershards), I am steadily accumulating the SPS and increasing my stake in SPS. I have a target of a 200K SPS stake in mind and I can reach it last year in July, a couple of weeks before the airdrop ended. Though after reaching my goal I spent my SPS in buying Node I did not sell my SPS as it looked to me that I am selling my SPS cheap. Instead, seeing the SPS getting traded cheaply, I decided to increase my SPS goal to 300K and I am getting along with this goal very nicely as I have SPS staked on 3 accounts having a stake of 250K SPS, 12K SPS and 2.5K SPS respectively that make my overall SPS stake close to 265K SPS. I also have liquidity in DEC: SPS pool, if removed and converted to SPS will add another 4K of SPS as of now. Couple of months back I sold my Vouchers to convert them SPS and again I have a lot of Vouchers to sell but I cannot resist 41% APR in Voucher:Swap.Hive pool that gives me SPS.

One of my earlier reason to buy more SPS and to stake SPS was to have more skin in the GLX airdrop and at the current time I am getting more than 125 GLX airdropped daily as an added advantage along with SPS + Vouchers as staking rewards.

One of my reason not to part away with SPS is that SPS is not only a governance token of Splinterlands but it also has fix supply and with SPS validator node license go live, I see team might be further enhancing the use case for SPS.

This actually come true when in the latest townhall when the team announced that they will be putting the SPS requirement for the leagues to get the full rewards in the ranked matches as defined in the below image.

Most of the players are little uneasy with SPS requirements but I see I am comfortably surpassing the requirements as my main almost goes to Diamond 3 and my alt remains in Gold 1. This make my requirement for total staked SPS around 146K only (88K and 58K).

At present, I am looking forward that if this requirement can make market for SPS delegations and if I get the opportunity to earn more SPS by delegating spare SPS but at the same time I am thinking to have a stake of 500K SPS for myself (413K SPS for Champ 1 and 88K for Diamond 3) as I still dream to upgrade my cards to max level one day and to reach Champion 1 for my main account and at least Diamond 3 for my alt account.

I guess this started my journey for 500K SPS going forward and I think SPS is going to get more use cases in the future so having more SPS will be never going to hurt.
