Analog Capital

Remember my last content where I talked about cryptocurrency not taken seriously, because it’s quite new and it’s digital. Another reason is because the world takes so much effort to accept change. When the world is used to a certain lifestyle and change on that lifestyle comes to alter it, lots of people will find it hard to adapt to this new change. Let’s look at the first time the world transitioned from reading news paper to finding everything they need on a newspaper on the internet without the need to leave their house. Mockery pictures were made where they mocked computer internet users for using the internet, because they were not used to it and were finding it really difficult to accept the change. Today, people get mocked for not having internet, if you don’t have internet or haven’t used internet before, the first question you get asked is “are you living under a rock?”

Back then the world was used to being analog and the transition to digital was a big change. It wasn’t easy to accept that, this is the same feeling we are currently seeing with money, digital money and cryptocurrency. I can remember 10 years ago when I was a fresher in college, my dad didn’t like using his mobile app to send my monthly allowance, he didn’t like using any digital means to send me money, he would rather go to the bank, get a deposit teller and deposit the money to my account. When I asked why he always did that, he said he doesn’t trust this mobile digital way of transacting. Today, he can’t remember the last time he went to the bank to use a deposit teller. This is because the world grew into it and no they trust it. Same goes with capital and investing.

Fifty to hundred years ago, capital investment was done through the analog way and that is through physical things that you can see. Analog capital were cash, real estate, gold, diamonds, precious metals and items. But that has changed now, we are now seeing some of these analog capitals are moving to the digital capital now, people are selling their houses, stock, investments to invest in crypto because the future is going to be digital capital soon. Over $100 Million get flown in and out to crypto, liquidity is flowing and its all thanks to analog capital.

In future in the next 50 to 100 years, what we call a digital capital today might be regarded as an analog capital, who knows? The world changes a lot.

World will take it serious once let it break all records, but yes still a problem exists, and that is about conversion of black money into white money as I commented on your last post ;)

Previous generations are always reluctant to use new inventions, my mum is wary of fintech apps, says she doesn't trust keeping her money with them, they could run away with her money. I think most analog inventions will be digitized in the coming years.
