Another Project Neglects Its Community

Neglecting community seems to be like a chore to these zk projects. ZK means zero knowledge a supposed great way to help provide privacy and security in the crypto space. These projects seems great, but before I start, let’s not forget that while the crypto technology is great, lots of us are in the crypto space for money. Some of these projects, launch a testnet first, this testnet lets users test it for free without spending anything, then they launch a mainnet and it comes with an airdrop. The airdrop sometimes it’s between 2 to 5 figures and that’s a lot for something you did for free, just like playing a video game for free and getting paid. While some Projects launch a mainnet, make their users spend a lot of money testing the project.

While users are stress testing the project with a lot of money, sometimes they are expecting an airdrop, to incentivise them for their hard work. Airdrop helps a project build a strong community most times because a happy community most times lead to a strong project. Look at arbitrum and Optimism, they made their community happy, in return the community keeps making the project stronger. Starknet decided to be the first ZK project to go against the community by not rewarding the community for their hard work, it took no time for the project to fall as not a lot of people are interacting there anymore.

Zksync is the latest to have neglected its community again, only about 25% of its users got an airdrop neglecting the remaining 75%, and this has made the community and the active users so angry they don’t want to interact with the project anymore. Looking at the price I don’t know if it will ever recover.
