So a friend was talking to me some days ago and he said, when you become rich you can get yourself an expensive car. I couldn’t help but pause and ask, how much is rich? How much can you have to consider yourself rich? Because wealth is relative, someone might have $1,000 and feel so wealthy meanwhile another person spends that on a shoe. Someone is excited for a $1,600 car while another person is looking forward to buying a $16k car and another person is spending $160k on a luxury car. It’s not the same, but how do you consider yourself wealthy and decide to upgrade your lifestyle to a certain standard to suit your money?

Well, one thing you should know is that, two people can be worth the same but one might look richer because of how he presents himself and how he spends his money. Let’s say two men called James and Tyler both have $15k in their savings account and earn $2k every month from their job, but when people see Tyler they assume Tyler is richer than James because he smells nice, he dresses well, he partys, he is that guy that knows how to package himself to look richer. But James on the other hand doesn’t have a car, dresses okay, but not like Tyler, doesn’t party nor have fun like Tyler. The difference between both James and Tyler is that, James has a lot of people that depend on him and he pays for their bills, but Tyler doesn’t have anyone that he is responsible for, matter of fact, he is been taken care of by his family.

Now you can see how two people who earn the same and have the same net worth can completely live their lives differently because of the things they spend their money on. The goal has always been to earn a lot that your bills don’t matter, your bills feel like it’s nothing no matter how high they are so that you can finally start spending that money on yourself and things that make people feel your life is great and is an upgrade.
