Influencers & Crypto

Its always funny when you see celebrities or influencers who know nothing about crypto or NFTs suddenly start forming gurus because they are reading a script and deceiving their fans. Lots of celebrities and influencers have gotten sued because they advertised and became a crypto ambassador one way or the other. Last year we had Kim kardashian and Floyd Mayweather getting sued for promoting some coin, I think they settled with some penalty fees. Then later we saw Tom Brady and Shaq O’neil getting sued for promoting FTX.

Cristiano Ronaldo just recently got sued for promoting Binance, it doesn’t end there, we have the Logan Paul incident. Logan Paul started showing huge interest in crypto and NFTs during the 2021 bull run, although most of his shilling were shitcoins, some said it was a paid gig for him to shill these shitcoins to his followers so they can buy them since he has a huge fan base. Then later he started talking about some NFT project called cryptozoo, it was rumoured that investors invested in this project and it rugged. Typical, he doesn’t have any idea about crypto and NFTs and how they work, he is an entertainer, but unfortunately his actions seems like he has deceived his followers who invested.

In January of this year he said he was going to compensate investors who lost, but we are getting close to the end of the year and these investors are yet to get compensated. This is why I will always preach that you shouldn’t make your crypto or investment decision because your favourite celebrity said so through paid advert. Always do your research before you throw that money into that investment your favourite celebrity is investing.
