Is Crypto Staking A Wise Choice?

In my active 2 years in crypto, I will say, I have learnt a lot of lessons and one of my biggest lessons is staking my coins, I rather stake stable coins instead. Staking any of my non stable coins haven’t favoured me in any way because most times,the incentives I get for staking is far less than the value I lost while staking. This is majorly because we are in a bear market where the value of most alt coins are constantly declining, the only coin that is increasing in value over time is Bitcoin, others are sadly not following the same routine.

Imagine staking your coin for a maximum of 20% APR, but getting a 5% decrease in value every week or every month, what’s profitable about? I staked $2,100 expecting to be making over $60 monthly interest from my stake, sadly, the value of my stake is currently at $700 that is 3X lower the value of my stake the first time I staked it. This is just one of my experiences, I have invested over $6k in crypto into a lot of coins that I wished I never did but instead invested in a stable coin like the HBD and watch it grow, at least the value is stable. But that is the risk in crypto, I am saying this now because it didn’t go as planned right?

The truth is crypto is very risky, we all know the risk, if your money can skyrocket 2X it can plummet 2X too, so in my opinion, to avoid regrets the best way to invest is I have to always invest half in alt coin and the other half in stable coins. Because altcoin has more risk and more reward, so instead of regretting every time I see the value of investment plummet after staking, I might as as well save myself that heart break by investing half in alt coin and the other half in a stable coin.
