JOMO: The Joy Of Missing Out

People always talk about FOMO, the Fear Of Missing Out, which is an act of doing things or making decisions because you are scared of missing out on an opportunity. For instance, you have been seeing a coin trend on your timeline, lots of people have been talking about it and how much it’s making them. Sometimes you start feeling like you are missing out and you start thirsting for that feeling, that’s how some people end up investing in coins that are at their peak and lose their money afterwards. But in as much as Fear of Missing out or Fear Of Missing Opportunities is a thing, there is also the Joy Of Missing Out. Let me explain further.

Have you traded meme coins before? Do you know the feeling of trading meme coins? Few years ago, everyone was being advised against meme coins, because they are coins without any literal value but just a means to pump and dump people’s money. For the past 2 years, memecoin trading has been send to be profitable to some people, especially influencers who have a lot of followers that make it easier for them to shill these tokens. Most times when a crypto influencer shills a token, and it actually moves 10X or more, most times they were able to invest because they got an insider info from the devs. But that’s the one they will advertise with and brag with to entice more people into believing them and relying on their future calls.

Meme coins is a Ponzi scheme, early buyers are the lucky ones who sell on the late buyers, no matter how much I see influencers post about their memecoin wins and how tempting it feels to want to have a taste if that, I am so proud of myself for not falling them. The joy of missing out on trading on some of these memecoins is great. Because it’s huge gambling, before you get one win, you must have exhausted all your money, sometimes your win would just be a breakeven, this means you have wasted your time chasing a shadow. Avoiding memecoin trading is my Joy Of Missing Out

Chasing meme coins is a sad existence, but I don't think they're going away anytime soon. I say just pick a few with solid cult followings and then continue going about your business.

That's a great way of putting it, I think it's better to miss out on certain opportunities if the cost associated with it is too high a price to pay, especially emotionally.
