Luxury And Necessities

Having a conversation today with my sister about luxury and how some of them are unnecessary. For instance, flying private jet, do you think flying private jet is necessary? Flying private jet is pretty expensive, it will cost you at least $40k to fly a private jet. A lot is spent into flying private jets, the jet fuel is not cheap, the pilot doesn’t come cheap, the air hostess is not free either. So do you think it’s necessary to fly a private jet? Well, I guess I think it’s not necessary because I can’t afford it, but hypothetically, let’s say I can afford it would I?

In my opinion, high profiled public figures are the only people that are supposed to fly private. Let’s look at their reasons for flying private jets, well, first of all, they are high profiled public figures. When you are a public figure, people know you, this means that you are influential. If you are making money off your influence, then this means that you owe your fans the privilege of always having to be in their good side. This means that if they see you in public, they can engage with you, they can ask for a selfie and you have to be nice. Sometimes this means that as a public figure your security is going to be compromised. You never know who is your fan or who wants to hurt you? So why risk your life and fly commercial when you can afford to fly private.

Another reason you should fly private if you can afford it is if you travel a lot for business, and your travelling time is mostly unplanned, if you can afford it why not? Besides your business depends on it. But if you can afford it, but your business doesn’t depend on it, you are not a public figure or a celebrity, then first class is great. I think it’s wasteful to fly private if you don’t need to. But then, people are different, and I can’t afford to fly private jets, that’s probably the reason I think it’s wasteful to fly private jets.

Rich people is not thinking the money they spend but they value the time they spend..A minute is a precious time to them and they can't afford it to lose because they didn't finish yet spending all their money..lol 😂

Lol, that is so true. When you are rich, you start valuing experiences and time more than money.

Good reflection about this 'luxury'. I think most of people able to afford it they are doing their maths as they gain those expenses with the income generated during their private flights... But who knows!
I also think it is not a necessary, maybe because I am not able to afford it! Ha ha :))
Have a great and happy Sunday!
