Money In Your Bank Account Or Expensive Rich Experience

There you are in your $500 a month apartment as a 25 year old making less than $3k a year feeling sad and depressed because a supposed 20 year old is living in a pent house, goes on vacation, living an expensive luxurious lifestyle. You think it’s true because they say so on social media, but you are living a lifestyle where you can afford all the basic things of life without stress and can still afford to save over $500 in your savings every month. But you feel like a failure because there is this guy on social media that lives in a pent house, take an elevator to get to his apartment, has a beautiful view.

Having this experience is not bad, it’s good to have this experience when you can afford it, for instance, you earn 7 figures yearly, then you are living within your means and income. Most people go broke and bankrupt because they started living above their means which is a very bad financial decision, thanks to social media it has made it easier for people to want to live above their means. Having rich experiences is good, it’s very great, it’s one of my goals, but having money in your account while having these rich experiences makes it better. But if you can afford to have a rich experience, don’t bother having it. Don’t go spending your rent money on vacation, after your vacation you turn homeless.

But 9 out of 10 choosing an expensive experience over having money in your bank account, also can be described as living above your means can be extremely detrimental to your financial life.
