Money, Void & Scarcity

So you are gentleman who has been looking for $500 to get a new phone for months now, and you feel like once the money gets to your hand, your responsibility will be focused on getting yourself a new mobile phone. Fortunately for you, you get that money and all of a sudden the mobile phone is not important anymore, you tell yourself, don’t worry I can wait, the mobile phone will come later. You give yourself some delayed gratification towards the mobile phone. You feel the money is too small to get the new phone and also take care of other responsibilities.

As a human being, especially being a man, you can’t escape responsibilities and most times, you take the responsibilities of others too. This is the reason most men work harder, because they are working to get to take care of multiple people. This thereby causes a void and sense of scarcity for them, you find a lot of people filled with so many financial responsibilities lacking things. This is because they always sacrifice to take care of people. Hence the reason the gentleman can’t spend the $500 to get a new phone. His conscience starts hunting him, making him feel guilty for pleasing himself, meanwhile he has responsibilities to take care of.

Scarcity doesn’t always mean completely, it’s just a state of limited resources. If your responsibilities are way more than your resources, then you are in a state of scarcity and lack. But if your resources are way more than responsibilities, you are in full abundance. This is why most of hope to attain one day. So we don’t have to have migraine thinking and calculating how we are going to let go of our $500 to take off other responsibilities instead of pleasing ourselves. But if you are in a state of abundance, you will be able to please yourself by buying the new phone, and also take care of other responsibilities without noticing how much you have spent.

I hope we all get that state of abundance someday. It’s a good feeling and good state to be in.

That's a man's life for you, having to spend what he has to safeguard others. As you said friend, may we all grow to the state of abundance. Thanks for the article

I hope so too! Being in a state of scarcity and lack can be mentally demanding and physically exhausting. I think at some point one comes to realize that responsibilities are never ending so we need not solve them all at once.

😉👊 He made the right choice. I was thinking what I would do when I find myself with an extra $500.. I Dont spend it, (well maybe $50 on groceries), but i instead add it to my stacks/investments, which will, one day produce that extra abundance I seek. but delayed gratification works for me.. :)
