Psychological Approach Or Technical Part?

Do you know why we have mirrors in an elevator? What’s something that catches your attention in an elevator, the mirrors or the view, some elevators have a view that you look at when it’s ascending or descending, while most that don’t have a view have mirrors and what do you think the mirrors are for? During the early days of elevators, people usually complained that it takes longer for them to get to where they are going to, because it was slow, and it’s not possible to make them faster, so the elevator decided to look for a solution. They finally came up with the mirror idea, as a way of people looking at theirselves in the mirror and getting distracted by their own reflection.

This is true because each time I get in an elevator I spend so much time looking at myself I don’t remember how fast time has passed. This means that the elevator problem was solved from a psychological approach than a technical approach, they could have made it really fast and this could lead to more accident, better later than never right? Imagine we start solving some of our problems from the psychological approach instead of focusing on the technical aspects. If you think your life sucks and you hate it, and you are working so hard to make it better, but nothing seems to work, take a moment to look at it from a psychological approach.

You feel you have been a failure this year because you haven’t achieved your financial goal and bought that house or that car you have always wanted to buy but you have been working hard, instead of killing yourself with more work, with no guarantee of knowing if buying those things will make you feel better, why not try to be grateful with the one you have now and be patient till you can afford what you hope on having.
