Scroll Another Disappointment To Its Community

Am I disappointed? Nope. Did I expect it to flop? Yeah. With my experience with crypto airdrop I have come to realize that one sign to know a crypto project that will flop or screw their community is when they start demanding too much from the community. Any point based airdrop, I avoid them, any airdrop that has no utility but relies on the community’s constant participation to make profit. Scroll launched sometime in 2023 and mandated minting an NFT, if you have been in the airdrop space, you will know that eligibility can be unpredictable, Minting an APTOS NFT got some people an unexpected airdrop and that motivated me into joining the airdrop space.

I minted the scroll NFT, I bridged and did the basic stuff but I thought the scroll platform was so unnecessary. I did tasks that were necessary for something else not because I was trying to farm scroll. Few months later the mark system was introduced, this means that you need to do more interactions to up your mark game. That was another red flag that this project was just wasting our time, I didn’t bother lifting a finger to do any more scroll tasks.

The project announced its snapshot few days before the snapshot date, another red flag because that gives whales the opportunity to milk and farm it leaving regular people like me no chance. Today the airdrop launched and lots of people are disappointed as they spent more gas fees farming it than getting the actual airdrop they got. Well done scroll, let’s see how long the chain will last.
