Smart Worker With HardWorker Guilt
If you are used to working so hard to get what you need, you are training your body and mind to believe that great result comes from great work. So on other days where you get great results from less work you won’t feel like you have worked hard enough. You start feeling guilty for getting huge result for working less, and probably start feeling like you don’t deserve the huge reward because you didn’t work as hard as you used to work before. For instance, if you are a freelancer and you are used to doing 100 jobs, 100 jobs exhaust you, but you are used to that exhaustion, that gives you a sense of accomplishment.

Imagine doubling your price as a freelancer, you will realise that almost half of your customers will be lost. For a moment you will be worried and angry, because according to metrics, you have less customers now, but you are forgetting that you doubled your price, this means that in terms of value, you will be earning the same thing but with more time and less stress. Let’s do the maths, let’s assume you charge $10 per client, 100 customers is equal $1,000. But then you increase your price to $20, 50 of those customers left, leaving you with $20 for 50 customers equal to same $1,000.
It takes a good sense of awareness to accept the fact that as a former hard worker, it’s okay to work smarter and earn better than you used to when you were a harder worker. This happens to us a lot, lately I have been earning a lot from doing lesser worker and I love it, but sometimes I want to do more because I am used to doing more work. I have to caution myself that it’s okay to work less and earn more, I still deserve that.

Your words changed my mide, I was thinking to work less and earn more. You're right that we just can earn accordingly to our attention towards the work.
