Spending Money On Things You Wished As A Child

Can you remember when you were a child and you couldn’t wait to grow up so you can have enough money to buy all the things you wish you had when you were a kid. When you were a kid your access to money is extremely limited to just your parents, because you are not old enough to work or get a job. So you have to depend on your parents or your guardians, whatever they give you is what you have. As kids we don’t know the struggle of money making, we don’t pay bills, we just wake up and see that everything is provided for us. We don’t pay rent, we don’t pay for groceries, we don’t pay for school fees, the only thing we do is play with our toys, wish we had cooler toys and eat anything we want.

But it gets a certain time where our parents start reducing the way they give us access to money or reduce the way they agree on buying us things because having kids is expensive and kids don’t know that till they become an adult. When I was kid I wanted every available gaming console, I wanted a bicycle and I wanted to eat everything I felt would be sweet or interesting to taste, but my dad didn’t accept all these because it was expensive and it will feel like I am getting spoiled. So I promise myself I would get them when I get older and have my own money.

There was a time I developed interest in knitting but couldn’t afford to buy knitting tools and wool, my grandma felt it was a waste of money for something that I just wanted to play with, so I promised mumu self I would get as much knitting tool and wool when I grow old. I wanted to buy a Beats by Dre headphone when I was younger but couldn’t afford it so I promised myself that I would get it when I get older, guess what, I just got myself a Beats by Dre headphone and it feels so good. I felt my teenage self excited and thank me for getting it because we have wanted it for so long. I also wanted a Beats by Dre speaker called beat pill but I couldn’t afford it, guess what a new Beats by Dre speaker just launched and guess who is excited to get one, me.
