Unprepared Protocol
Airdrops are a means in which projects share some exposure to platfoms under their protocol. This is really nice because it has brought me huge exposure, I kinda know my ways around some protocols. I know the best bridging platform, the cheapest one, the non token bridging platform that might likely do some airdrop. While this is nice, I have also encountered some platforms that got overwhelmed by the influx of people due to the airdrop tasks and crashed.
This is the reason airdrop activities exist, the main aim and goal of airdrop activities is to somewhat help stress test platforms to know how fit or unfit they can be for the projects. This way they get prepared for mainnet generally, which sometimes they don’t fully get prepared, but to some extent they try their best. I am currently doing some airdrop task on sonic lab a platform that is part of the fantom protocol. I have been testing this platform the whole day, as it is required for possible airdrop, doing the Galxe tasks.
I encountered a platform in the tasks called Lynx, but was disappointed because that is the final task needed to conclude the task, but guess what? I can’t do the task because it has run out of liquidity needed to do the task. The platform which is under the sonic lab project was overwhelmed by the amount of participants. Usual Galxe airdrop tasks end up having over 50k people participating, but this platform had less than 20k and they are complaining about not having enough liquidity and being overwhelmed.
This is why I still stand with huge blockchain projects like Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana, they have been stress tested by a lot of people making users explore the strength and weaknesses.
