This is a repost, which is rewritten and edited, for a different theme and a different purpose, so it probably isn't recognizable as a repost, but regardless all rewards are declined.

Why did I do this post?

This development of a decentralized exchange or DEX for Hive is really important for all of the Hive Community.
Centralized Exchanges like Binance, Coinbase and Kraken are great tools for providing on ramps and off ramps of capitol, and we will always need them.
But unlike a token like Bitcoin or Ether which have hundreds of cryptocurrency exchanges listing them for buying and trading Hive has Binance and maybe 1-2 others depending on what day and month you read this article.
Dexs or Decentralized Exchanges allow just almost any token compatible with their smart contracts to list a trading pair.
That's why we listed wleo on Uniswap and bleo on Binance Smart chain, and pleo on Polygon. We wanted to connect Hive to Dexs so Hive could be traded more freely.
But those were wrapped tokens, NFT versions representing the value of Leo and Hive or HBD on a cdecentralized exchange.
And those listings all have inherent risks not present with the native token.
Leodex gives us the opportunity to trade our Hive blockchain native token assets like Hive, Leo, SPS, and DEC for Bitcoin or a stablecoin like USDT, and we don't need to involve ourselves with wrapped tokens and the risks of theft and loss with wrapped tokens.
And lastly the Bitcoin goes into our personal Bitcoin wallets.

This is huge because it provides something not previously available on Hive

Freedom from centralized Exchanges to trade Hive tokens into Bitcoin
Freedom from Centralized Exchanges to trade Bitcoin and other tokens into Hive or HBD
Lastly, this represents Safety and flexibility for the Hive Community with no worries about delisting because as long as we use the trading pair it will persist.

How to use this post ?

I want you to think of this post as a tutorial on Leodex, as I have collected the videos released one by one by the Leo team and embedded them all here in this video, so you can think of this as the first installation of the Inleo Academy, this Module covers Leodex.
I have tried to collect all the short videos about Leodex here so you can view them and come complete each step, create wallet, connect to Leodex, use the arbetrum Ether Faucet, how to deposit liquidity and how to trade Hive for Bitcoin.
I have embedded all the videos in this page, so you can view them one after another without leaving this page.
I have also collected all the articles I could find about Maya and Leodex and Arbitrum here in one place, and I will continue to do so.
It's a huge article, but it is large by design.

The leodex.io exchange is performing multiple step swaps behind the scenes so you don't have to...

Example:

You connect your keystore wallet to www.leodex.io and swap Hive for Bitcoin.
What leodex does is swap your hive swapped for swap.hive, then swap.hive is swapped for Leo, then Leo is swapped for arbitrum Leo, then arbitrum leo is swapped for cacao and then cacao is swapped for Bitcoin, and then Bitcoin is deposited in your Bitcoin wallet.
All you really need to know is you swapped Hive for Bitcoin, just like when you turn the key in the ignition of your car, and drive away.
leodex.io does the hard work using smart contracts
Just like you don't need to understand how your car works to drive it, you don't need to understand how leodex.io works...
