Change to Leofinance with Threads and Communities

• Leofinance has changed it's user interface to include a microblogging section called Threads, and a long form posting section called Blog.
• Additionally Leofinance also includes Polls, Communities, and it's own signup user interface Leoinfra.
• These are some of the 13 different applications which make up Leofinance.

Polls

• Instead of building a free standing application for polls and leaving it up to the user to figure out where it is and how to use it, Leofinance incorporated Polls into Leofinance Threads, which makes sense since
• Threads is about microblogging and polls are about microquestions and microanswers.
• Polls put the power of inquisitive data gathering into the hands of the Poller and all data is visible on the blockchain.

Communities

• This newest section incorporates Hive Communities into the Leofinance User Interface, and it reminds peopl that Leofinance is part of Hive, as this feature of Hive is now incorporated into Leofinance.

Threads

• The microblogging section has a Twitter style 240 character limit to posts, but seeks to become more of a Reddit like environment for diverse interests, so it is NOT limited to finance and crypto.
• In fact Hive communities such as Hive Garden and Women of Hive have developed a big presence on Threads.
• Threads has grown from a hundred threads per day to thousands of threads per day.
• This has been preceded by scaling archetecture on the backend, and recent upgrades to prepare for greater volume in the future.

Blog

• This is Long form posts
• While the Blog portion of the UI is still longform with posts of 600-1000 words being the norm, the content has stayed limited to crypto and finance.
• But recent hints suggest that the creator feels the community should start deciding what type of content shold be on the blog, by supporting newer types of content with upvotes and engagement.

Hivestats

• A beautiful database application built by Leofinance, which allows data mining on the Hive blockchain.
• This database allows users to practice their skills with database queries, a marketable skill, and it's nice to see the recent upgrades in HiveStats showing us how databases can be used on social media communities, and this database is in the hands of the users not just the owner.

Bridge

• Leofinance contains a bridge to other blockchains like Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain and Polygon.
• The bridge moves Leo, Hive and HBD between those blockchain ecosystems and Hive.
• People on Hive sometimes forget that the majority of Leofinance applications are built on the Hive blockchain.
• In fact @khaleelkazi will be the first person to tell you that Leofinance could exist were it not for the amazing archetecture of Hive with it's Fast, Free transactions.
• Social Media on a Blockchain has a cost for transactions and Hive deals with this beautifully with Resource Credits.

Decentralized Finance

• The Bridge of course connects Hive to decentralized finance projects on Ethereum, Binance and Polygon where Hive Community members can invest their hard earned Hive, HBD and Leo to earn yield.
• This wonderful financial opportunity is made possible by Leofinance and is part of the Leo Finance Group of applications.

Format and Content change, maybe Name change?

• As Threads, Polls and now COmmunities have been added, it is apparent that even the community of Leofinance and many of the Hive members who have joined Leofinance because of Threads have a more diverse set of interests then just cryptocurrency and finance.
• Even though we are here because of our interests in crypto and finance, that doesn't define us in our totality.
• There are sports fans, music fans, and nature fans here amongst us, and it is only natural that the community grow and change to accomodate those interests.
• Those of us who have been with Leofinance since it was Steemleo on Steemit, then Leofinance on Hive, know that our founder is someone who changes things to make them better and more relevent.
• He is not married to the past, and change here is the rule, not the exception.
• My dad use to say, it's hard to move forward, with your eyes looking backwards.
• And right now I think the answer to WEN name change..is SOON!

Metverse to Leoverse?

• I know we are all familiar with Facebooks short lived forray into the Metaverse and even the changing of the name to Meta.
• But I thinik as Leofinance becomes more inclusive of non-crypto and non-financial content, we can see that the name Leofinance may need to change, and as we see the original application becoming the EVERYTHING application with POLLS, THREADS MICROBLOGGING and BLOG OLNGFORM content sections, along with the new COMMUNITIES the Leo COmmunity is becoming a multiverse in itself, which is like a Metaverse, but with the Leo theme or flavor, so Leoverse seems natural to me.
• Thus I cast my vote for the Leoverse.
