Pepper and tomato planting

Hello friends. Recently I started posting in the HiveGarden community. Especially these periods are the beginning of the garden season. The majority of the operations and plantings in the garden are done during this period. In this period, the time spent on vineyards and gardens is more than in other periods.

Merhaba arkadaşlar. Son günlerde HiveGarden topluluğunda gönderi paylaşmaya başladım. Özellikle bu dönemler bahçe mevsiminin başlangıcı. Bahçedeki işlemlerin, ekimlerim büyük çoğunluğu bu dönemde yapılır. Bu dönemde bağ , bahçe için harcanan zaman diğer döneme göre daha fazladır.

It rained a lot in May where I live. It is not preferred to plant vegetables in the ground during rainy days. Too much rain before the newly planted plant has fully established a bond with the soil will damage the seed and plant. Sometimes it even causes decay. When the rain stopped, we immediately procured pepper and tomato seedlings.

Yaşadığım yerde mayıs ayında oldukça fazla yağmur yağdı. Yağmurlu dönemde, günlerde toprağa sebze ekmek tercih edilmiyor. Yeni ekilen bitki toprak ile henüz tam bağ kuramadan çok fazla yağmur yağması tohuma, bitkiye zarar verecektir. Bazen çürümeye bile neden oluyor. Yağışa ara verilince hemen biber ile domates fidesi temin ettik.

These are pepper seedlings. There are farmers who specially grow these seedlings. They offer them for sale in the markets during planting periods. We also procured it in the market. The bundle of seedlings costs 15 TL ($0.45).

Bunlar biber fideleri. Bu fideleri özel olarak yetiştiren çiftçiler var. Ekim dönemlerinde pazarlarda bunları satışa sunarlar. Biz de pazarda temin ettik. Fidelerin destesi 15 TL (0.45$).

Before planting, excavation is done in the form of a water channel. Then water is supplied to the canal. This water is important for the survival of the seedling. It can also be called a kind of lifeblood. After the channel is filled with water, the seedling is planted in the soil. Care is taken not to damage the root of the seedling.

Ekim yapmadan önce su kanalı şeklinde kazım işlemi yapılır. Ardından kanala su verilir. Bu su, fidenin hayatta kalması için önemlidir. Bir nevi can suyu da denebilir. Kanal su ile doldurulduktan sonra fide toprağa ekilir. Fidenin köküne zarar verilmemesine özen gösterilir.

The seedlings are checked after a few days. Seedlings that fail to plant, dry out, or are damaged by mole are replaced by others. Water is given again before the end of a week.

Bir kaç gün sonra fideler kontrol edilir. Ekimi başarısız olan, kuruyan , köstebek tarafından zarar gören fidelerin yerine başkaları ekilir. Bir hafta dolmadan tekrar su verilir.

The same procedures for planting peppers are also done for tomatoes. Hoeing is done approximately 3-4 weeks after the seedlings take root in the soil. Hoeing process is important for faster and more efficient development of the plant.

Biber ekimi için yapılan işlemlerin aynısı domates için de yapılır. Fidelerin toprağa kök salınımı gerçekleştikten yaklaşık 3-4 hafta sonra çapalama işlemi yapılır. Çapa işlemi bitkinin daha hızlı ve verimli gelişimi için önemlidir.

We also planted a plant called basil. Planting and care is done in a similar way to pepper and tomato. It is not preferred much. Where I live, it is mostly used in stuffed grape leaves. Ayrıca reyhan denilen bitkiyi de ektik. Biber ve domates ile benzer şekilde ekimi ve bakımı yapılır. Çok fazla tercih edilmiyor. Yaşadığım yerde çoğunlukla yaprak sarma yemeğinde kullanılır.
