Hello everyone, It is another anime review and this one is an anime movie. It is a romance movie that might make your heart flutter and at the same time sad because as I have watched this movie. My heart aches at the end of it and that's what makes the anime movie interesting to watch.

This anime was recommended to me by my sister when I started my first job and she said that this one is good to watch. I didn't bother at that time until she forcefully said to me that I will love it aaaand! It was true that this anime is good.

A Simple & Compelling Story

The story is not an action one that you might get hyped after watching this but this story is a simple and also compelling that makes your heart flutter and at the same time sad.

If you like romance anime, might as well try this one because it is good even though it was released years ago.

One summer day, a girl named Hotaru Takegawa who was lost in the forest in their old hometown and in the forest, there were spirits that lived there but she was found by one of the spirits in that mountain forest named GIN who looks like a human and has a mask covered on his face. GIN is the one who guides Hotaru to get out from the forest.

Hotaru felt happy about GIN (Who is a spirit) that he guides her out of the forest. She follows him around the forest and they talk about anything about her life and also GIN's life. Every summer, Hotaru is looking forward to go in the forest to see GIN. GIN eventually told about him that he is a spirit and cannot be touched by a human because he will disappear if a human will touch him.

An Award Winning Anime

The anime itself garnered lots of awards from the film festivals and other film awards in other countries. Even if the anime is short but it garnered lots of awards and it impressed a lot of people around the world.

A Short Anime

It is really good if this anime is long just like the other anime that has twelve episode but this has only 44 minutes and I am craving for more of this.

The pacing of the story is also good and how they started their friendship and then a girl fall in love at the end of the story.

Even if it short but you won't forget the scenes from this anime. I hope to have a long anime story for this one like they will put some fillers on this like how GIN became a spirit or what's the story behind him as a spirit and is looking forward on seeing people or humans in the forest.

I thought that there are twelve episodes for this anime but there wasn't. Well, I wasn't satisfied because it is a short story but I was satisfied on the story itself on how they build up from the first scene up to the last scene of the plot.

Thoughts

The story is touching after you see at the end and it breaks my heart upon watching the end of the story. I didn't knew that one of my eyes were pouring tears about it. Even if the anime is a short one but you can't forget about this one.

I can remember all of the happenings about this anime even though I watched this years ago maybe because of the plot that breaks my heart at the end. They have a good chemistry at each other like they were friends for a long time.

I would rate this anime a 10/10 because of the story that is compelling and it gives us a lesson that no matter what the situation or problems, if you are in love, you can't deny it and you will follow your heart through it.
