What is HiveBuzz

  • Acording to HiveBuzz it is...

How do they spend their money?

  • According to HiveBuzz...

How Can You Support Them?

According to HiveBuzz...

Why should you support them?

  • Good Question.

  • If you research Improving User Engagement on Social Media Projects you will find the word Gameification, which as mentioned above means make something like a Game or Fun.
  • And according to Social Media Experts, those people who write articles and publish them on the Internet, making things Fun increases User Engagement. User Engagement equals Webpage views, and webpages views increase advertising revenue and improve financial viability of social media projects.
  • So in other words if you make something fun, people use it more, and this use translates intto financial success for the project.

  • *Next Question

  • Do we have gameification projects on Hive?

  • Yes
  • HiveBuzz

  • Does HIveBuzz make using HIve Fun?

  • I think so.
  • Does this fun increase page views?
  • I think so.

  • Why?

  • I think the colorful badges are incentive to complete simple tasks. Which increases page views, which is how the world objectively measures success.
  • I think the colorful pages stimulate curiousity, as people want to know what they mean and how many of them do they have.. this increases pageviews.
  • I think the ranking stimulates curiousity.
  • For instance what ranking am I?
  • Who is ranked first?
  • Who are in the top Ten?
  • This natural curiousity and competiveness of humans draws us into the world of HiveBuzz.
  • I think it's like scrolling on TikToc or YouTube : we can't help it! LOL
  • I think all these clicks to check out rankings, colorful badges, events and other things are normal activity which generates lots of pageviews.

  • So I think HiveBuzz accomplishes it's task; stimulating engagement, increasing page views and making Hive Fun.

  • What do you think?

Excellent review mate! I know I always enjoy the HiveBuzz comments. Just recently I got one that said I am now a dolphin…I think that was the most awesome one a I’ve gotten so far - but in general, I do agree that these definitely have helped drive me to do more in the past (and present).

Stay groovy brother!

Thank you.
I agree that every notification marking an achievement is positive incentive to keep achieving. Plus the acknowledgment of increasing rank is fun and encouraging.

I have always thought HiveBuzz to be an important part of the Hive community, particularly because of the gamification factor... whether they openly admit it, or not, people love to "see their name in lights."

Definitely worth supporting!

I agree!
I think people like the recognition of their name in lights. And people are curious where they stand compared to people around them. I hope enough people agree to support the project.

I like gameification of tasks or learning. We are all a kid inside who likes games.

Good point about us all having a kid inside, and gamification has been shown to aid retention and increase participation. Maybe I will try it!
